Project brief

Concept4 were appointed to develop a full design proposal to support the relocation of research laboratories and office facilities from its existing location to a new purpose-built facility at the Translation & Innovation Hub (I-HUB), Imperial College London.

Concept4 worked closely with the ADCT leadership team to design laboratory & office facilities to support the planned future growth of the business. The laboratory design specification included new dedicated mechanical ventilation and extraction, piped gases, safety sinks, 3-phase power supplies, oxygen depletion monitoring, chemical resistant work benches and storage with separate write up space, shared meeting rooms and communal breakout space.

The project was delivered during the first wave of the COVID pandemic with the fitout programme and budget being maintained whilst ensuring COVID site safety practices were adhered to from start to finish.
